Friendship Line California offers confidential discussions for people aged 60 years and over and adults with mental and/or physical disabilities who may be lonely, isolated, grieving, experiencing depression, anxiety and/or thinking about death or suicide.

It operates two lines:

• Warmline
  • Available for routine phone calls in order to provide support, reassurance, well-being checks, and information and referral for additional care.
• Crisis Line
  • Available to older and disabled adults who may be lonely, bereaved, depressed, and at a higher risk for suicide.

Operated by SAMHSA, the lifeline connects callers and texters with trained crisis counselors nationwide.

Services include:

• Connecting callers with local crisis centers for follow-up care

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) provides assistance to victims and survivors of drunk and drugged driving crashes. Services include emotional support, victim events or support groups, literature, guidance through the justice system, information and referrals. Works to educate parents and teens of the danger of drinking and/or drugs and driving in schools and the community.

Offers a 24 hour a day national helpline for victims of substance impaired driving crashes.
