Nevada County Citizens for Choice is the local partner of Women's Health Specialists, which provides reproductive healthcare clinic services in Grass Valley. The clinic provides confidential, affordable services to all people of reproductive age including contraception, pregnancy testing and all-options consultations, early abortion care, medication abortion, STI-HIV testing and STI treatment, gynecological exams and gender-affirming care.

Telehealth services are available by appointment.

Citizens for Choice also engages in outreach and education, public policy advocacy to promote reproductive health and justice, and works to promote comprehensive sex education in schools.

LivingWell Medical Clinic offers comprehensive sex health education to students and adults. Available to present multiple topics regarding relationship and sexual health to youth groups or parent groups at no charge.

Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital provides hospital and specialty health services for people in Western Nevada County.

Services include:

• 24/7 emergency medical care
• Cancer treatment and oncology support
• Heart and vascular care, including diagnostic and surgical services
• Neurological care and stroke services
• Orthopedic care, including joint replacement and injury treatment
• Women’s health services, including OB/GYN care and mammography

It also offers a Comfort Cuisine program through the SNMH Community Cancer Center. This program provides frozen meals for cancer patients to take home and heat up. Meals are available on a donation-as-able basis and must be picked up in person.

Placer County Public Health provides the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, which helps eligible families eat well, stay healthy, and access essential support during pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood.
