The Auburn Senior Center (ASC) serves as a hub offering socialization, recreation, and resources for seniors in Placer county.

Activities and services include:

  • Fitness and Wellness | Tai Chi, yoga/chair yoga, line dancing, low impact aerobics, and strength training
  • Games and Social | Regular sessions for bingo, mahjong (Chinese and American), chess, cribbage, and pinochle

    • Genealogy: Professional consultations available by appointment

A membership fee of $30/year applies to seniors under 90 years old.

Gold County Senior Services operates the Congregate Lunch Café, offering hot, freshly prepared lunches in a community setting for older adults in Western Nevada County.

Services include:

  • Hot lunch at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

Additional Information:

  • Welcomes adults age 60 and older; others may attend as guests for a fee
  • Collects a suggested voluntary contribution of $3.00 per meal for eligible participants
  • Charges a $7.00 meal fee for guests under age 60

Meals are served at Nevada City Senior Apartments, 231 Colfax Ave, Grass Valley, CA 95945. Service is unavailable on holidays or during unsafe travel conditions. First-time participants must complete an intake form.

No eligible participant is denied service due to inability to contribute.
