The Placer County Tobacco Prevention Program works to reduce the impact of tobacco on Placer County residents. 

The program provides education, promotes policy enforcement, and supports community partnerships that reduce tobacco use and exposure.

Services include:

• Public education about the health impacts of tobacco use and secondhand smoke
• Outreach to reduce youth access to tobacco products
• Support for local enforcement of tobacco laws and policies
• Resources to counter pro-tobacco marketing and messaging
• Collaboration with community partners through the Placer Tobacco Prevention Coalition

Additional notes:

Program activities include youth prevention campaigns, tobacco retailer education, and support for smoke-free environments.
